PhoMart Installation

This software operates in cooperation with Adobe’s PhotoShop 7.0 image editing program. Upgrades to operate the CS line of products are free to current license holders when they become available from Phomart.

Phomart Core Download

The Phomart Core is the ‘platform’ from which all of our utilities will run. Click on the link in your account page to Download Phomart Core. A standard file download is then started. Please allow the download to proceed. If any warning dialog appears, or the file download security bar appears at the top of the browser window, please respond and allow the download to continue.

Run the Phomart Install File

Once you have selected the “Save” option from the download dialog, the Phomart Core install file will be placed where you selected. When you wish to install the Core, double-click on the  Phomart.exe file where you saved it.

Please agree to allow the software to continue if any dialog appears.

Establish Working Bin

After the Phomart Core starts, it checks for a previous setting for the “Working Bin” area needed for software operation. If you are re-installing the Phomart Core, the previous “Working Bin” will automatically be used by the software.

In most cases a new installation of the Phomart Core results in a dialog that asks you to pick a location for the “Working Bin”. Please do not select anything but a hard drive and avoid My Documents. The best location to place the “Working Bin” is on the C: drive. The Phomart Core will create a directory called C:\Phomart if you hit the Save button on the file dialog. Vista users will have to make a new folder in this dialog due to User Account permissions.

All settings, temporary files, utilities, and edited images will be placed in this directory.

If the “Working Bin” folder is renamed or moved, the Phomart Core will reset to the level of a new installation and you will have to re-install any utility software online.

Working Bin is Established

When the “Working Bin” folder is properly established, the Phomart Core software will automatically start, allowing you to proceed with the utility download and installation

Core Connects to Account

After downloading and installing the Core software, the customer is connected to their Phomart account through the Phomart Core software.

When you first connect through the Phomart Core, some anti-virus software will question you about connecting to Phomart. Please allow the connection to occur.

In the customer Phomart account another link is provided to download the purchased utilitie(s) and complete the utility installation.

Please follow the steps outlined by the software to properly install the utility that you purchased.
